Baby Elephant Applique designed by Kerri Brown in Scheepjes Maxi Sweet Treat, which is a 100% mercerized cotton thread, similar to Aunt Lydia’s #10 Cotton Crochet Thread. Kerri crocheted the eyes, but you have a lot of alternative options like felt eyes, embroidering the eyes on and using puffy paint to draw them on, just to name a few.

Elephant Face Applique designed by Kerri Brown in a non-specified fingering weight yarn. Free Elephant Crochet Pattern in Sport Weight Yarn:

https://amzn.to/3QLsUqAElephant Lovey designed by Katrine Klarer in Garnstudio Drops Safran, which is a 100% cotton yarn. Queensland Coastal Cotton Fine is a great alternative, but you have a lot of flexibility here too for this applique so feel free to check your stash to see what you have that will work. You can even go up to lightweight yarns, since some of them are so close in gauge to sport weight. You’ll also need some stuffing.

Duke Elephant designed by Amifauna in Circulo Amigurumi Soft, which is a 55% Acrylic and 45% Cotton yarn, but I think it may only be available in Brazil. I absolutely love working with Circulo Yarns, and carry their brand in my Yarn Crafts & Coffee Shop, but some yarns are not available in the US so I’m not sure if it’s that or it’s been discontinued. YarnArts Jeans is a great alternative if you like the fiber content of the Amigurumi Soft but there are so many great options for stuffies.
You’ll also need some stuffing and either safety eyes, or you have a lot of alternative options like felt eyes, embroidering the eyes on and using puffy paint to draw them on, just to name a few.

Mini Elephant Amigurumi designed by Supergurumi in Schachenmayr Catania, a 100% cotton yarn from Germany. Free Elephant Crochet Pattern in Lightweight Yarn:

Heart Elephant Applique designed by Golden Lucy Crafts in a combination of non-specified yarns. The body of the elephant was crocheted in a lightweight #3 yarn, and the ears were crocheted in #10 cotton crochet thread. She often uses Patons Grace as her lightweight yarn and Aunt Lydia’s #10 Cotton Crochet Thread so it’s possible that is what she used for these, but there is a lot of flexibility in appliques, depending on how you’ll use them, and so many great yarn options to boot! Only requiring a small amount of yarn, crocheted appliques are also a great opportunity to raid your yarn stash and use up yarn scraps.
You’ll also want either some googly eyes or you have a lot of alternative options like felt eyes, embroidering the eyes on and using puffy paint to draw them on, just to name a few.

Elephant Granny Square designed by Granny Square.Me. It’s not specified in the pattern which yarn was used other than a DK wool. There are a lot of great options depending on the project you want to make with your granny square. For something like a purse, I’d recommend either Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton DK or Circulo Natural Cotton Maxcolor 4/4. For something like a cozy blanket or scarf, I’d recommend Berroco Vintage DK or Lion Brand Wool Ease DK. You can even change up the yarn weight and hook size to get different sized squares.

Elephant Finger Puppet designed by Elisa’s Crochet in Lion Brand Coboo. For the eyes, Elisa embroidered the eyes on, but you could also use puffy paint to draw them on.

Elephant Baby Blanket designed by Yarn Over with Natasha in Charity (Saprotex) Double Knit Pullskein, a 100% acrylic yarn from South Africa. Premier Yarn Everyday DK or Knit Picks Brava Sport would be great alternatives.

Elephant Applique designed by The Fated Knitter in a non-specified lightweight yarn. There is a lot of flexibility in appliques, depending on how you’ll use them, and so many great yarn options to boot! Only requiring a small amount of yarn, crocheted appliques are also a great opportunity to raid your yarn stash and use up yarn scraps.

Little Love Elephant Baby Blanket designed by Darling Dana Designs in a combination of Loops & Threads Snuggly Wuggly and Loops & Threads Kai, which are both a 100% acrylic yarn from Michaels, though Kai has been discontinued. Premier Yarn Everyday DK or Knit Picks Brava Sport would be great alternatives. Note: This pattern is a chart for the C2C pattern and not written instructions.

Elzo the Elephant designed by Chai Coffee Crochet in a non-specified lightweight yarn. Premier Yarn Everyday DK or Knit Picks Brava Sport would be great acrylic options and Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton DK or Circulo Natural Cotton Maxcolor 4/4 would be great cotton options.

Double Filet Elephant designed by Sheila Richardson of the East London Crochet Group in Robin Double Knit, a 100% acrylic yarn that has been discontinued. Premier Yarn Everyday DK or Knit Picks Brava Sport would be great alternatives, though depending on how you will use this little square, there are endless possibilities! Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton DK or Circulo Natural Cotton Maxcolor 4/4 would great options for a tote bag or table runner.

Tunisian Crochet Elephant Baby Blanket designed by Raffamussa Designs in Ice Yarn Baby Print, a 100% acrylic yarn that’s been discontinued. Premier Yarn Everyday DK or Knit Picks Brava Sport would be great alternatives.

Elephant Baby Rattle designed by Raffamussa Design in Rio, a 100% cotton yarn from Lammy Yarns in Holland. Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton DK or Circulo Natural Cotton Maxcolor 4/4 would be great alternatives
You’ll also need some stuffing and while safety eyes were used on the original toy, if this rattle will be chewed on, I might recommend something like felt eyes or embroidering the eyes on. The wooden ring is a Natural Wood Teething Ring. To add a sound element, you’ll want to grab a rattle insert as well, but without it, it’s still an adorable toy.

Only requiring a small amount of yarn, crocheted bookmarks are also a great opportunity to raid your yarn stash and use up yarn scraps.

Elephant Phone Cozy designed by The Nimble Mouse in a non-specified lightweight yarn. From the photos, it looks like a wool yarn so you’ll want something that is nice and stretchy like wool, like Premier Yarn Everyday DK or Knit Picks Brava Sport, or plan on making the cozy larger if you want to use a cotton yarn, like Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton DK or Circulo Natural Cotton Maxcolor 4/4, which is what I would use for added durability.
Free Elephant Crochet Pattern in Worsted Weight Yarn:

Elephant Blanket designed by Love Life Yarn for Yarnspirations designed in Red Heart Light, which was a 100% acrylic yarn that’s been discontinued. There are so many great yarn options for blankets that would be great alternatives though! Currently, I’m really loving Lion Brand Pound of Love, and at 1,020 yards per ball, one ball goes a really long way.

Esther the Elephant designed by Jess Huff in a non-specified worsted weight yarn. Knit Picks Dishie and Circulo Natural Cotton Maxcolor 4/6 are cotton options, and if you prefer an acrylic option, I like to use Red Heart Super Saver for home projects.

You’ll also need some stuffing and either safety eyes, or you have a lot of alternative options like felt eyes, embroidering the eyes on and using puffy paint to draw them on, just to name a few.

Elephant Teething Ring designed by Elisa’s Crochet in Lion Brand Feels Like Butta, a 100% polyester yarn, though for something that will be chewed on and see a lot of wear, I might recommend a 100% cotton yarn, like Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton DK or Circulo Natural Cotton Maxcolor 4/4.
