St. Patrick’s Day Crochet Patterns in Lace Weight #10 Thread

Shamrock and Lucky Clover Applique designed by Golden Lucy Crafts in a non-specified #10 cotton crochet thread. Aunt Lydia’s is probably the most popular #10 cotton crochet thread, but Artiste brand from Hobby Lobby also has a beautiful range of colors including metallics, Knit Picks offers Curio #10, and personally, I have been enjoying Circulo Clea. You could also separate embroidery floss to make it thinner and closer in weight, or experiment with different weight yarns to get different weight appliques.

Irish Blessings Doily designed by Bella Crochet in Aunt Lydia’s #10 cotton crochet thread.
St. Patrick’s Day Crochet Patterns in Fingering Weight Yarn

Celtic Shimmer Mandala designed by Celtic Knot Crochet in Lizbeth Size 3 cotton crochet thread, which is equal to a #1 fingering weight yarn. Aunt Lydia’s Fashion Crochet Thread Size 3 and Circulo Anne are great alternatives. You’ll also need a CD for the shimmery center part, or you could leave it off and crochet/sew around a metal ring or embroidery hoop instead. To make your mandala exactly like Jennifer, you’ll also want to dig out your jewelry supplies.
St. Patrick’s Day Crochet Patterns in LightWeight Yarn

Shamrock Baby Booties designed by Hopeful Honey in Drops Muskat, a 100% cotton yarn from Garnstudio.
St. Patrick’s Day Crochet Patterns in Worsted Weight Yarn

Leprechaun Coasters designed by Crochet 365 Knit Too in a variety of worsted weight cotton yarns including Paintbox Cotton Aran, Crafters Secret Cotton from Hobby Lobby, Peaches & Creme and Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton – so many great yarn options for little projects like coasters! A hot cup of coffee is not hot enough to melt synthetic fibers so you could even pull out your favorite acrylic yarns from your stash.

Tic Tac on the Go designed by Cozy Nooks Designs in I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby. If you do plan on keeping this in a tote bag or your purse to have while you travel, I would recommend a worsted weight cotton for added durability, like Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton or Knit Picks Dishie, and I especially like these options because they’re colorfast, which means if something spills in your bag or the table is wet that you will play on, you don’t have to worry about the colors of the yarn fading or bleeding.

St. Patrick’s Day Gnome designed by Passionate Crafter in Bernat Premium, which I think may have been discontinued as I can’t find any colors in stock on the Yarnspirations website, but you could grab your favorite worsted weight yarn – Red Heart Super Saver is an excellent substitution for home decor projects. You’ll also need some stuffing.

Leprechaun Gnome designed by Passionate Crafter in Bernat Premium, which I think may have been discontinued as I can’t find any colors in stock on the Yarnspirations website, but you could grab your favorite worsted weight yarn – Red Heart Super Saver is an excellent substitution for home decor projects. You’ll also need some stuffing.

Leprechaun Stuck in a Wreath designed by Stringy Dingding. The specific yarn used was not provided, but this is a great opportunity to dig through your stash. If this wreath will be indoors or outdoors but covered from the elements, this opens the doors for the fibers that will work, but if it’ll be exposed to the elements, you’ll want stay away from plant based yarns as they will deteriorate rather quickly. My favorite yarns to use on wreaths are Red Heart Super Saver and Lion Brand Pound of Love.
You’ll also need some stuffing. Depending on how you will display the legs, you may want craft supplies to create a wreath, but I also think these legs would look really cute sticking out of a planter or basket as if he fell in.

St. Patrick’s Day Snow Globe from Golden Lucy Crafts in Red Heart Super Saver. You’ll also need some stuffing, and if you want to embellish it similarly to Olena, then you’ll want some festive buttons as well, but you could also use a variety of craft supplies, like beads, patches, appliques and faux flowers. To weigh down the snow globe at the base, you could use Poly-Fil Poly-Pellets or a bag of rice, to name a few options.

St. Patrick’s Day Glass Lanyard designed by Jo to the World in Loops and Threads Impeccable from Michaels. Love this idea so much, just use caution as I imagine the fabric would stretch out a ton with the weight of the glass and liquid.

St. Patrick’s Day Unicorn Applique designed by Golden Lucy Crafts in a combination of yarns, including a non-specified worsted weight yarn for the base, paired with Paton’s Grace for some of the accents, which is a 100% mercerized, lightweight #3 cotton yarn, and a non-specified #10 cotton crochet thread for the shamrocks.
Appliques are a great opportunity to raid your stash to see what you have. You can easily replace the lightweight yarn with a sport weight, double up on a fingering weight strands or even bust out some embroidery floss, and similarly you can experiment with other options for the shamrocks as well, or even go off script and use some festive buttons, beads, patches or faux flowers to embellish with.

St. Patrick’s Day Wreath designed by Highland Hickory Designs in Red Heart Super Saver, which is my favorite for wreath making. If this wreath will be indoors or outdoors but covered from the elements, this opens the doors for the fibers that will work, but if it’ll be exposed to the elements, you’ll want stay away from plant based yarns as they will deteriorate rather quickly.
The cute and wavy fabric sits on top of a wire wreath form.
To make it just like Erica’s, you’ll also need some twine (or a 1/8″ ribbon would be cute) and mini clothespins (I’ve linked to a variety on Amazon, but I do pick them up now and then from Dollar Tree) to hang the Lucky banner.

Shamrock Crocheted Coaster designed by Briana K Designs in WeCrochet Dishie, which is a 100% cotton yarn. Coasters are great projects for busting through your stash. A hot cup of coffee is not hot enough to melt synthetic fibers so you could even pull out acrylic yarns to use.

Leprechaun Baby Top Hat designed by Naztazia in Stitch Studio by Nicole Studio Basic, which sadly has been discontinued as it was an A.C. Moore’s brand – remember that craft shop? Feel free to substitute with your favorite worsted weight yarn, but with the height and structure of this hat, I find yarns like Red Heart Super Saver and Caron One Pound to do best.

St. Patrick’s Day Wall Hanging designed by Crochet 365 Knit Too in Red Heart Super Saver.

Irish Pixie Hat designed by Wild and Wanderful. Katy does not specify which worsted weight yarn is used, but some of my favorites for cozy beanies are Knit Picks Swish, Lion Brand Wool Ease and Berroco Vintage.

St. Patrick’s Day Floral Wreath designed by EyeLoveKnots, one of my sister blogs, in Red Heart Super Saver. You’ll also need a styrofoam wreath base, and then you can either sew on or glue on the flowers to make the wreath embellishments permanent, or use sewing pins, like I did, to make this wreath interchangable.
