Lion Brand 24/7 Yarn is a lovely, mercerized cotton yarn made of 100% cotton, that is durable, has a wonderful sheen to it, and excellent stitch definition. You’ll love how easy projects are to care for too being machine washable and dryable.

24/7 is a great yarn to use for a variety of projects, but being a 100% cotton, it doesn’t have any fiber within it to keep it’s shape or bounce back so I don’t recommend it for things like garments or hats, but this yarn is great for housewares like doilies and table runners, bags like clutches, tote bags and sunglass pouches, and accessories that are perfect for Summer like scarves, shawls and cowls.

Because of the mercerized process, 24/7 is not ideal for washcloths, instead I would recommend Queensland Coastal Cotton, which comes in solid colors and variegated colors.

Set Up: Center pull skein that is ready to use!

Fiber Content: 100% Mercerized Cotton

Ball Weight: 3.5 ounces / 100 grams

Yardage: 186 yards / 170 meters

Care Instructions: Machine washable in cold water on the gentle cycle, and dryable on low heat. I do recommend rolling in a towel first to press the water out, and then machine drying. Depending on the project, you may need to run it through twice and/or lay flat to dry remainder. Store flat so project does not stretch out.

Knitting Gauge: 20 stitches x 28 rows = 4″

Recommended Knitting Needle Size: US 6 / 4mm

Crochet Gauge: 14 Single Crochets x 19 rows = 4″

Recommend Crochet Hook Size: G6 / 4mm, though my preferred hook size for 24/7 cotton yarn is either a G6/4.25mm or an H8/5mm crochet hook. I’ve used both sizes on projects made in 24/7 Cotton, and they both work up well, and are easier on the hands than a G6/4mm.
