Louisa Harding Gabrielle Yarn is a soft and luxurious, lightweight boucle yarn blend of 49% Cotton, 26% Polyester, 24% Polyamide and 1% Metallic that twists together beautiful colors on a strand of small loops with the metallic strand, and creates a stunning texture. Gabrielle is sure to become your go to for garments and accessories you’d wear to the office, as a wedding guests or just on days when you need a little more sparkle. Keep in mind, it is hand wash only.

This yarn is often paired together with Louisa Harding Giardino and Louisa Harding Brittany, which both have similar fiber contents.

Set Up: Donut ball that is ready to use, though many makers like to wind into a cake. For a fee, I can wind it into a center pull ball  for you (per ball).

Fiber Content: 49% Cotton, 26% Polyester, 24% Polyamide, 1% Metallic

Ball Weight & Yardage: 100 grams / 371 yards

Care Instructions: Hand wash in cold water. Roll in a towel to press the water out, and lay flat to dry.

Knitting Gauge: 22 stitches = 4″

Recommended Knitting Needle Size: US 6 / 4mm

Crochet Gauge: 12 – 17 Single Crochets = 4″

Recommend Crochet Hook Size: G6 / 4mm

This crocheted top combines Gabrielle with Louisa Harding Giardino, but the Gabrielle is the lighter solid color.

It is sized for XS – 2X and requires 1-2 balls of the Gabrielle in the Fleur colorway and 2-3 balls of the Giardino in the Jacinto colorway.

This knitted shrug is one size fits most and uses 3 balls of the Plage colorway.

Ellis Blouse from Louisa Harding / Knitting Fever

This knitted blouse is sized for S – XL and features 2-3 balls of the Fete colorway as well as 1 ball of the Rose colorway.

Mayflower Cardigan from Louisa Harding / Knitting Fever

This knitted cardigan is sized for S – XL and features 3-4 balls of the Anise colorway as well as 1 ball of a colorway called Soir that’s been discontinued in 2026, but that is the darker colorway you see as stripes. You could easily replace that with another colorway from Gabrielle or even something like Louisa Harding Brittany in the Whirlpool colorway.
