Some yarns are in ready to use balls, and can either be pulled from the center or the outside, but some yarns are in hanks, and will require winding, which you can either do by hand or with a yarn winder. Before I bought my swift, I would take an accordion wall rack, tack it onto a cork board, undo the hank, place it around the accordion rack, and then either work directly from it, or use my yarn winder to wind it into a cake.

For a fee, I am happy to wind a hank into a center pull yarn cake for you for online orders. Currently, no winding services for in store purchases.

Make sure to change the quantity to reflect the total number of balls as the fee is per ball.

The sleeve will be included with the yarn so you will still have all the details from it.

Please keep in mind that my studio where online stock is kept and yarn winding is processed is cat friendly. This does not mean that cats are rolling around the yarn and supplies, but it does mean that cat hair is in the air, and may find their way onto the yarn and supplies.

I cannot accept returns of yarns that have been wound into cakes (including by me before purchase).
