For the next 7 days, we’re thrilled to be bringing you 7 Pumpkin DIY crafts, featuring pumpkin crochet patterns.
The Pumpkin Spice & Crafty Nights Event kicks off on October 1st and will run through October 7th – 7 days in total.
I’m teaming up with my friends Emily of Crochet Aweigh and Candace of T&C Crafters for this event. Each day, there will be a different featured craft projects, and it will either be available on one of their blogs or on one of mine – EyeLoveKnots blog or Yarn Crafts & Coffee. We’re going to share 6-7 free pumpkin crochet patterns and possibly a plastic canvas pattern.

October 1st -Day 1 – Pumpkin spice latte crochet pattern review
The Pumpkin Spice Latte crochet pattern designed by Crochet Pink Pumpkin is a great way to kick off fall! This intermediate pattern can easily be worked up in an evening or weekend and makes for a great gift or addition to your decor!
To make the pumpkin spice latte, you will need super bulky yarn for the base of the cup and the cup sleeve, in addition to some fuzzy yarn and bulky chenille yarn for embellishments. I used Bernat Blanket yarn in a pumpkin orange color for the cup and darker tan for the cup sleeve. For the whipped cream, I used Sweet Snuggles Lite mixed with Bernat Pipsqueak and some Ella Rae Cuddle for the sprinkles and the cinnamon sticks.
This pattern calls for a 7 mm hook, but I chose to use my K10.5/6.5 mm hook. In addition to your hook and yarn, you will also need stuffing and a yarn needle for sewing all the pieces together.

October 2nd -Day 2 – Whimsical Pumpkin Coaster
Crochet a whimsical pumpkin coaster that is perfect for Fall decorating or on the Thanksgiving table under a Pumpkin Spice coffee.
My favorite cotton yarns are WeCrochet Dishie, Queensland Coastal Cotton and Cascade Nifty Cotton because they’re colorfast, which means the colors are set so you don’t have to worry about the colors fading or bleeding when used or washed. Cotton yarn is more durable and absorbent, but really you can use any worsted weight yarn out of your stash!

October 3rd -Day 3 – Pumpkin Pals
If you are looking for a quick and easy way to stock up on cute fall decorations, the no-sew Pumpkin Pals crochet pattern is the perfect choice! This beginner-friendly pattern works up in no time and can be made in pretty much any yarn fiber and weight. They work out great for all types of decor and embellishments. Just be careful – they are super addicting!
This pattern includes directions for two sizes of pumpkins made in super bulky yarn. While the pattern was originally made with Bernat Blanket yarn, this pattern would look great with Ella Rae Cuddle or Premier Basix Chunky. By changing up your yarn weights, you can make an entire pumpkin patch of different pumpkins. I personally love making them in worsted weight yarn like Premier Basix Worsted or Lion Brand Pound of Love so they come out nice and tiny to be used as party favors or key chains.
In addition to your yarn and hook, you will also need some stuffing. The amount you will use is totally dependent on what size your pumpkin is and how full you want to stuff it.

October 4th – Day 4

This little handy bag uses Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton, one of my favorite cottons for bags! It wears well, and doesn’t stretch as much as many cottons do. This was a really fun project, and I hope you enjoy it too!

October 5th – Day 5 – Cabot Pumpkin Wreath
Crochet the Cabot Pumpkin Wreath, a cozy, cable stitch wreath complete with pumpkin leaves and curly vine that is perfect for Fall decorating! With removable accents, it can take you through Winter too!
Rather than permanently adhering the embellishments (though you can), use sewing pins. They hold the items securely in place, and are easy to pull out if you want to change up the decor. Sunflowers would be nice for Summer and to transition into Fall. After Fall is over, you can remove the embellishments for a cozy Winter sweater wreath, and in the Spring, you can add some Frilly Flowers with more sewing pins, like I did with my Hilda Wreath for St. Patrick’s Day.

October 6tH – Day 6 – Chunky Checkered Pumpkin Coasters
Pumpkin coasters are a fun way to add a touch of cozy Fall to your home or Thanksgiving table, use as favors at a Fall farm or pumpkin themed baby shower or even turn it into a wall hanging instead.
They don’t stop at being used for coffee or a snack. They are great little mats for all sorts of items like a small vase, plant, candle, pen or make up brush holder, lotions and more!
