Stitch up a set of 6 easy Alternating Scotch Stitch plastic canvas coasters in a fun checkerboard pattern that are the perfect piece to add to your living room, kitchen or dining room to house a delicious cup of coffee or tea.

WHAT’S IN MY PLASTIC CANVAS KIT?
Your plastic canvas kit will include 7 mesh plastic canvas, Lion Brand Pound of Love 100% acrylic yarn, a printed pattern (with access to a digital version as well) and a video tutorial.

Note: I have many other shades of this yarn available in my yarn shop, though the Olive and White is the only combination I’ve done with the checkerboard pattern. The last 4 photos show the 33 colorways I have available of Lion Brand Pound of Love. Make your select with the dropdown – either Olive and White (as shown) or Other and then leave your two color choices in the Personalization box – the possibilities are endless! Note: If Other is chosen, and no Personalization is included, then the Olive and White will automatically be packed and shipped.

Keep in mind the colorways may appear to be a slightly different color on screen than the one you receive in person as colors shown differently on different monitors. For reference, you can check the Olive, White and Honey Bee swatches to the finished coasters in the photos.

WHAT SUPPLIES DO I NEED TO HAVE ON HAND?
You will need to supply some scissors. You have the option in the second drop down to choose with a metal, rounded tip,  size 18 tapestry needle or without (I know some of us have about a million needles in our stash). Jewelry pliers are optional, but an excellent tool to use to help weave in ends if they are tough on the fingers. For a cleaner back, you could cut and attach some felt, fabric, or cork.

PATTERN DETAILS:
The pattern is set up so all the written details are on the first 2 pages, and 3 pages after that with one graph each that go hand in hand for cutting and stitching. Also included is a plastic canvas coaster FAQ section, and QR codes on the last page so you can still easily access my blog and the video tutorial even if you are working from the printed pattern. PDF version is identical.

The pattern will come in loose leaf sheets of paper ready to be added into plastic sheet protectors (not included) and added to your plastic canvas pattern binder.
