Explore crochet, knit and DIY project ideas to make in the month of February.

I absolutely love to see what others are up to on WIP Wednesday and Finished Off Friday even if that means frogging, so how about a link up party dedicated to your handmade projects? WIP It, Finish It or Frog It is a monthly link up party where you can share the progress of your handmade project/S. I know I always do better with accountability when I share my progress so hopefully this helps us finish more projects and have less WIPs staying in the bin — let’s be honest, WIP bins, hehe! And for anyone struggling to find some inspiration, hopefully these project ideas that are being shared will help you decide what to make in February.
Yarn Crafts & Coffee

I designed Ila’s Table Runner back in 2018 and the free crochet pattern is available to view on my EyeLoveKnots blog – blog subscribers can grab the PDF for free in the Free File Library here on Yarn Crafts & Coffee. I’ve updated the formatting of the post and PDF, as well as Round 11 as the stitch count was incorrect. Grab your favorite worsted weight yarn and crochet a beautiful, unique table runner for your dining room table or entryway table.
Cotton is a great durable, sturdy, absorbent fiber, but really, you can use any yarn. The only thing I will stress is the purpose of your runner. As decoration, any yarn will work just fine. If you will be using this on a table that you will be eating and drinking on too, I recommend cotton or wool with no synthetic yarn (acrylic, polyamide, nylon…) within it. Why? Synthetic’s could melt if something hot were placed on top of, and don’t hold up as well to moisture.

february Giveaway

Etsy is one of my absolute favorite places to shop for unique gifts, treats for myself, crochet patterns and so much more. Every entry for the link up party gets you 1 entry into the February 2026 giveaway of a $25 Etsy gift card. It will be purchased in USD. If you use a different currency, and you win, you will need to temporarily change your currency in your settings to use the gift card, then switch back after.
Would love if you dropped a comment below with the entry number associated with your project after linking up to make it easier for me to find, and tell me a bit about your project or what inspired you – I love this part!
Must be 18 or older to enter. Open to all countries. Void where prohibited. Winner has 48 hours to respond to email notification, or another winner will be chosen. Alexandra of Yarn Crafts & Coffee is responsible for prize fulfillment.
Join the Party
The WIP It, Finish It or Frog It Link Up is hosted by Yarn Crafts & Coffee, Crochet Aweigh and T&C Crafters, so when you link up to one of the blogs, it will show up on all 3 – triple the exposure, woo hoo! It will go live on the first Sunday of the month, and end the Friday prior to the next month’s party starting so you can share with us any day of the week throughout the entire month. Post times will vary, but you will be able to link up from midnight EST through midnight EST on the indicated dates.
Please share fiber related projects — that’s crochet, knitting, weaving, needlepoint, embroidery, punch needle, felting, macrame and sewing — and other DIY posts that are family friendly that relate to gifting, selling and/or running a fiber related business, such as a gift basket for a yarn lover, a DIY for creating tags for products or a post about pricing your products at a market. Feel free to reshare previously shared links. Please make sure to link to a specific post, and not your blog’s home page.
Show your support to other makers by visiting a couple of other submissions and leaving a comment for them.
You are voluntarily submitting your photos, links and email address (if desired) through InLinkz to link up with us, and by linking up, you give us permission to feature your submission on either of our blogs and/or social media outlets. Features may be chosen at the discretion of each host.

Can I participate even if I don’t have a blog?
If you don’t have a blog, you can still share with us several ways:
You can share links from Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest – just make sure it’s your own work please and that your account is Public so we can all see and interact with you.
Link ups CANNOT be to Etsy listings or Ravelry pages where patterns are sold, but you can share a link that is directed to it like from Pinterest. You CAN share Ravelry pages of finished projects. Sorry for the inconvenience! That’s per InLinkz guidelines.
If you would like to participate, but do not want to provide a link, you absolutely can do that too! Simply click on the blue button that says “Enter without link”.
