Araucania Huasco Chunky Kettle Dyed Yarn is a beautiful, tonal chunky yarn comprised of 75% Superwash Merino Wool and 25% Polyamide [Nylon] that is perfect for soft, cozy projects, especially wearables, accessories and even blankets! The superwash process together with the nylon makes this a nice, durable yarn. You’ll also love the ease in being machine washable!

If you’re interested, this yarn is also available as a Fingering Weight #1, Lightweight #3 and Worsted Weight #4.

This yarn is available for pre-order. Araucania is a new brand for me and the Yarn Crafts and Coffee Yarn Shop so I am taking pre-orders to build up my stock with all your favorites. I will gather all of the sales, and place one big order on August 19th. All these yarns are in stock from my supplier at the time of posting (August 9th) and I should receive the yarn in my cat friendly studio about a week later, and then I will turnaround and ship it out to you so expect about 2 weeks but up to 3 weeks from August 19th for your order to ship (ie middle of September).

For any yarns/colorways that are not available as of my order date, I will reach out individually via email to see if you’d like me to put it on re-order or cancel and refund that portion of your order. If you’ve ordered enough to qualify for free shipping, you will still receive it on your current order regardless of whether or not yarns have been cancelled by me from your order, and I will honor it on a future order that includes any yarns you opted for re-order on.

Set Up: Hank that will need to be wound into a cake. You can either do by hand or with a yarn winder, or for a fee, I can wind it into a center pull ball for you (per ball).

Fiber Content: 75% Superwash Merino Wool, 25% Polyamide [Nylon]

Ball Weight & Yardage: 100 grams / 109 yards

Care Instructions: Machine washable in cold water on the delicate cycle. Roll in a towel to press the water out, and lay flat to dry remainder.

Knitting Gauge: 12 – 15 stitches = 4″

Recommended Knitting Needle Sizes: US 9 / 5.5mm – US 11 / 8mm

Crochet Gauge: 8 – 11 single crochets = 4″
